Prepare it with our simple and delicious recipe:

A traditional european drink to warm you up in the winter
1 Red wine bottle
¾ cup brown sugar
less can be added if less sweet is desired
½ cup of orange juice
2 large orange slices
3 anise stars
1 large cinnamon stick
4 whole cloves
1 pinch of nutmeg
optional, orange slices for garnish

In a medium saucepan, place the orange juice with the sugar. Heat over low heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Add the orange slices, cinnamon, anise, cloves, nutmeg and finally the wine.

Heat over very low heat until it boils very lightly. Turn off and let it rest for at least an hour so that the flavors finish infusing the wine. Remove the orange slices.

To serve, reheat as needed without allowing it to come to a full boil. You can decorate the mug with an orange slice.
