Sesame-crusted chicken drumstick recipe is perfect for a flavorful and satisfying lunch. The drumsticks are marinated in a mustard and clove mixture, giving them a unique depth of flavor, and then finished with a sprinkle of sesame seeds for a delicious crunch.
Sesame-Crusted Chicken Drumsticks Ingredients:
- 4 chicken drumsticks
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- A pinch of ground cloves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 tablespoons oil (divided)
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 200 g chopped spinach
- 1/2 cucumber
- 3 tomatoes
- 2 red onions
- 1 clove garlic
- 3 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Preparation:
Mix the mustard with cloves, salt, pepper, and 3 tablespoons of oil. Coat the drumsticks with this mixture, place them in a bowl, cover, and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Grease a piece of aluminum foil with oil and place it on a grill (an electric one works fine, too). Grill the drumsticks for about 12 minutes on each side. In the last minute or two, sprinkle the drumsticks with sesame seeds.
Blanch the spinach for 30 seconds, then chop it. Dice the cucumber, tomatoes, garlic, and red onion. Combine all vegetables with the remaining oil, sour cream, and sugar, then season with salt and pepper.
