This isn’t your average chicken dinner. These golden, cheesy chicken roll-ups are taking the internet by storm — with layers of melty cheese, savory deli meats, and juicy chicken breasts all wrapped up and fried to perfection. Think of it as your weeknight dinner hero — fast, flavorful, and family-approved.

Chicken and Cheese Roll-Ups
Ingredients:

1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts

7 oz shredded Swiss or mozzarella cheese (like Trapist cheese)

3.5 oz sliced ham, turkey salami, or dry sausage (optional)

3.5 oz additional cheese (any type you prefer for layering)

2 oz creamy spreadable cheese (like cream cheese or ABC spread)

2–3 eggs

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs

Salt and black pepper to taste

Optional: fresh chopped parsley, dill, or marjoram

Kitchen plastic wrap (heat-safe or boiling-safe food film)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Chicken:
Slice chicken breasts thinly and lay two pieces side-by-side on plastic wrap. Pound with a meat mallet until slightly flattened and edges overlap.
  2. Season and Fill:
Spread a thin layer of creamy cheese. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the surface and place slices of deli meat on top. Add any herbs you’re using to the creamy cheese for extra flavor.
  3. Roll It Up:
Using the plastic wrap, roll the chicken tightly into a log. Seal ends tightly and repeat with remaining chicken.
  4. Boil:
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Place the wrapped rolls into the boiling water and cook for about 10 minutes. Remove and let cool.
  5. Bread and Fry:
Unwrap each roll. Dip into flour, then beaten eggs seasoned with salt and pepper, then breadcrumbs. Repeat: egg then breadcrumbs.
Fry in hot oil until golden and crispy on all sides.
  6. Serve:
Slice into rounds and serve warm with salad or a dipping sauce.
