FRESH CUCUMBER SALAD IN SOUR CREAM

INGREDIENTS
Cucumbers
Garlic
Sour cream
salt
STEP 1:

Prepare all the food you need. Pay special attention to cucumbers. Especially if you are preparing a salad in winter. Now, at any time of the year, you can buy good quality vegetables and fruits. So give preference to small cucumbers with a lot of pimples and a pronounced smell of freshness. Take sour cream of any fat content, depending on your taste: with 10% the salad will be lighter, with 30% it will be more satisfying.
STEP 2:
Step 2. Wash cucumbers well. If you have store-bought vegetables, it is best to use a special brush and detergent for washing vegetables and fruits. Store-bought vegetables are treated with various gases and paraffin, so all this must be washed off.
STEP 3:
Step 3. Cut the butts off the cucumbers. Cut it into semicircles. In principle, you can use any type of cuts from thin circles to small cubes – this does not affect the taste in any way.
STEP 4:
Step 4. Wash the greens well, be sure to dry them, otherwise it will stick to the knife. Chop the herbs in any convenient way. Recently I have been using kitchen scissors for this – very convenient. I also want to note that it doesn’t have to be dill at all – any fresh herbs will do. Maybe you prefer cilantro and parsley, but for some, green onions or arugula are ideal herbs. Choose according to your taste!
STEP 5:
Step 5. Combine dill, cucumbers, add chopped garlic. I prefer to grate the garlic on a fine grater, but you can chop it with a knife or pass it through a press. If fresh garlic is not available, you can also use garlic powder. At this stage, you can also add your favorite spices and seasonings to the salad. Someone will prefer to pepper such a salad, while others, on the contrary, add sweet paprika.
STEP 6:
Step 6. Season the salad with sour cream, best of all thick, homemade. In the absence of sour cream, you can use light yogurt, such as Greek. Or simply season with mayonnaise. Check the salad for salt – salt to taste.
STEP 7:
Step 7. Serve this salad with meat, fish or as an independent dish. Bon Appetit!
