This recipe, taken from my cookbook, combines the delicate sweetness of pears and apples with the rich flavors of white wine, sage, and almonds. It’s a perfect dessert for those who appreciate a blend of fruity freshness and comforting warmth.
Dessert with White Wine and Pears Ingredients:
- 3 pears
- 3 apples
- 30 g butter
- 4 sage leaves
- 2 bay leaves
- 120 g brown sugar
- 100 ml white wine
- 250 ml cream
- 4 eggs
- 3 tablespoons almond flakes
- A pinch of salt
Preparation:
Peel and slice the apples and pears. Sauté the breadcrumbs in butter with sage leaves for 5 minutes. Add 100 g of the sugar, pour in the wine, and simmer over low heat for another 10 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
In a bowl, whisk the 4 eggs with the cream. Add the remaining sugar, a pinch of salt, and mix well. Place the fruit into a greased baking dish, pour the egg mixture over it, and sprinkle with bay leaves, almond flakes, and the rest of the sugar. Bake for about 35 minutes.
