Lemon is often called a “cure-all” when it’s organic and pesticide-free. It plays an important role in numerous natural remedies, helping with blood vessels, migraines, sunspots, and red spots. This little yellow fruit enhances skin, revitalizes hair, boosts immunity, and reduces stress.

Lemon juice serves as a refreshing drink and mild antiseptic. The fresh outer peel is used in tinctures and extracts for liqueurs. It’s also known for its sedative and antispasmodic qualities, while its bitter and aromatic properties make it a great flavor enhancer.

Lemon’s components, especially vitamin C, strengthen bones and connective tissues, protect against infections, and prevent capillary fragility. Lemons are essential for gum health and aid in iron absorption, especially when paired with spinach.

Lemon flavonoids are powerful antioxidants that protect cells from aging and enhance vitamin C’s effects. Home Remedies with Lemon

  • For Soft Hands: Massage hands every night with a mixture of lemon juice, glycerin, and cologne in equal parts.
  • For Whiter Teeth: Clean and massage teeth with lemon once a week.
  • For Cold Relief: Warm lemonade works wonders for the body during a cold.
  • For Hoarseness: If hoarseness persists for over a week, consult a doctor. In the meantime, warm lemonade and lemon tea can help.
  • For Sore Throat: Mix the juice of one lemon with a glass of hot water. Gargle for three minutes, three times a day. A spoonful of sugar with a drop of St. John’s wort oil (or lavender or even regular cooking oil) and a few drops of lemon juice is also effective.
  • For Mucus Relief in Lungs: Blend 100g garlic, horseradish root, 200g lemons with peel, 50g plantain, 500g fresh butter, and 1 kg honey. Take one tablespoon three times daily after meals.

  • Clove-Infused Lemons: Select small, organic lemons, wash and dry thoroughly. Insert four cloves into each lemon, place them in a jar, cover with olive oil, and seal tightly. Let sit for two months. Serve with boiled fish, and the oil can also be used.
  • Lemon Vinegar: Peel the yellow part of two organic lemon rinds, add lemon slices, pour 3 liters of white vinegar, and season with lemon juice, cinnamon, 2 cloves, and 6 peppercorns. Store in a dark place for 2-3 weeks, strain, and use for salads and meat sauces, especially lamb.
  • Lemon Herb Jam: You’ll need 1 kg juicy lemons with thin skins, a few thyme and rosemary leaves, 4 tablespoons rosewater, and 900g sugar. Wash and slice lemons thinly without peeling. Add herbs, 150 ml water, and 2 tablespoons rosewater. Let sit for 12 hours, then simmer for an hour. Add sugar and cook until the lemons dissolve, about 2 hours. Add two tablespoons of rosewater just before filling jars with the hot jam.
