Stuffed Mushrooms are a delicious appetizer or side dish, perfect for any occasion. This recipe combines flavor of mushrooms with a rich and savory filling made from prosciutto, and a blend of cheeses like Gouda and Parmesan.
Ingredients:
- 0.5 kg of larger mushrooms
- Half of a small onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 egg
- About 50 g of Gouda cheese, diced
- 3-4 slices of prosciutto, diced
- 1 packet of grated Parmesan cheese
- A little salt and pepper
Preparation:
Clean the mushrooms and separate the stems from the caps. Finely chop the stems and sauté them with the onion. Toward the end, add salt, pepper, and garlic. Once the mixture has cooled, mix in the egg, prosciutto, and both types of cheese.
Fill the mushroom caps with the mixture and place them in a baking dish with a little oil. Sprinkle some more Parmesan over the filling, and add a small piece of butter on top.
Bake covered at 180°C for about 20 minutes, then uncover to allow the cheese to brown slightly.
