This homemade ice cream is rich, creamy, and flavored with maraschino liqueur, almonds, chocolate, and strawberries. Instead of one standard flavor, you get three variations that can be layered or swirled together for a colorful, festive dessert.

Ingredients:

4 cups heavy cream

1 ¾ cups sugar

2 tablespoons maraschino liqueur

¼ cup finely ground bitter almonds (or apricot kernels as a substitute)

3 oz chocolate (2 small bars), grated

½ cup strawberry juice or puree

Instructions:

Whip the heavy cream until thick, then slowly beat in the sugar until smooth.

Add maraschino liqueur and ground almonds, stirring gently.

Divide the mixture into three bowls:

  • Mix strawberry juice into one bowl.
  • Add grated chocolate to the second.
  • Leave the third plain for a classic creamy flavor.

Place each mixture in the freezer separately. Every hour, take them out and re-whip to keep the ice cream soft and prevent ice crystals.

After the last mixing, combine the three flavors in one container—either in layers or lightly swirled together.

Freeze until firm and ready to serve.

For extra creaminess, don’t skip the step of re-whipping while it chills. It makes the texture close to store-bought ice cream but with a fresher, homemade flavor.
