Hunter’s Steak for 4 people includes 300 grams of fresh venison meat, 1/2 kg of mushrooms, 150 grams of bacon-pancetta, garlic, bay leaf, 1 dl of wine for aroma, two tablespoons of spices to taste…


Take the peeled steaks out of the marinade, put them on a hot frying pan and fry them on one and the other side until they are half cooked, then put them in another dish and cover them. Put finely chopped onion, carrot and pepper in a pan with oil, when it turns brown, add mushrooms and bacon.

When it is half ready, add to the steaks, reduce the heat, pour wine, bay leaf, add spices and let it simmer together on low heat for about 40 minutes. At the end, add a spoonful of sour cream, a spoonful of mustard, pepper, a few cloves of garlic and hot pepper to taste. Serve with boiled potatoes in a piece or seasonal mixed vegetables. For the salad, sweet cabbage with onions marinated in lemon and apple cider vinegar with honey. Wines of choice, such as red wine. Bon Appétit
