This wine goulash is a rich and flavorful dish made with tender beef, red wine, and potatoes. It’s perfect for a cozy family meal or when you want something satisfying. Easy to prepare and full of bold taste, this recipe brings warmth to the table every time.

For 4 servings, you need:

  • 1.1 lbs beef
  • 7 oz potatoes
  • 3.4 fl oz thick tomato juice
  • 6.8 fl oz red wine
  • 4 medium onions
  • 3.4 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 1 tbsp dried herbs
  • salt to taste

Cut the meat into evenly sized pieces and quickly brown it in oil in a deep pot. Remove the meat and sauté coarsely chopped onions in the same fat. Return the meat to the pot, add caraway seeds, dried herbs, and 1 cup of water, then simmer covered over medium heat, adding water occasionally. Near the end, add paprika, potatoes cut into cubes, and tomato juice. Simmer for about 10 minutes, pour in the wine, season with salt, cook a few more minutes, and serve.
