Who doesn’t love a delicious and tasty pizza? One of the best things about pizza is that you can top it with all your favorite ingredients. If you haven’t yet tried making homemade pizza, it’s time to give it a go. For a perfect pizza, you need a good dough recipe, and here’s how you can make it at home!
Ingredients:
- 1 ¼ cups warm water
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 ½ tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, pour the warm water. Add sugar and stir gently until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the yeast to the water mixture. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, allowing the yeast to activate and froth up.
- Once the mixture is bubbly, add the flour and salt. Using a mixer, stir on low speed for about 2 minutes. Then increase the speed to medium and continue mixing for an additional 6 minutes.
- While mixing, gradually add the olive oil.
- In a separate bowl, drizzle some olive oil to coat the bottom. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in the bowl, turning it to coat in the oil.
- Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rise for 30-45 minutes, until it doubles in size and is no longer sticky.
- Once the dough has risen, take it out of the bowl and shape it into the desired pizza form. Let it rest for another 30 minutes.
- Add your favorite toppings and bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (425°F) for 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and crispy.
