Shrimp Bourgeois is a delicious and simple dish that combines shrimp, rice, pecans, mushrooms, and tomatoes for a flavorful meal.
Ingredients:
- 1 package Uncle Ben’s Long Grain and Wild Rice
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- ¼ cup pecan halves
- 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled with tails intact
- 1 cup thickly sliced mushrooms
- 8 cherry tomatoes, quartered
Instructions:
- Cook the rice according to the directions on the package.
- While the rice is cooking, melt butter in a pan and gently toast the pecans. Once toasted, remove the pecans from the pan, leaving the butter behind.
- Add the shrimp to the pan and cook until browned on one side. Then, turn the shrimp over and push them to one side of the pan.
- Add the mushrooms to the center of the pan and gently cook until softened.
- Once the rice is ready, mix it into the pan with the shrimp and mushrooms.
- Stir in the toasted pecans and quartered tomatoes.
- Serve and enjoy!
