Shrimp Bourgeois is a delicious and simple dish that combines shrimp, rice, pecans, mushrooms, and tomatoes for a flavorful meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package Uncle Ben’s Long Grain and Wild Rice
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • ¼ cup pecan halves
  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled with tails intact
  • 1 cup thickly sliced mushrooms
  • 8 cherry tomatoes, quartered

Instructions:

  1. Cook the rice according to the directions on the package.
  2. While the rice is cooking, melt butter in a pan and gently toast the pecans. Once toasted, remove the pecans from the pan, leaving the butter behind.
  3. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook until browned on one side. Then, turn the shrimp over and push them to one side of the pan.
  4. Add the mushrooms to the center of the pan and gently cook until softened.
  5. Once the rice is ready, mix it into the pan with the shrimp and mushrooms.
  6. Stir in the toasted pecans and quartered tomatoes.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
