Puff pastry tuna triangles are a savory, flaky snack that’s perfect for parties or quick meals. Made with ready-made puff pastry and a flavorful tuna filling, they’re easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
- 1 package of puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon milk
- Sesame seeds for sprinkling
Filling:
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 can (5–6 oz) tuna (drained)
- ½ cup sour cream
- Seasoning salt (or all-purpose seasoning), to taste
- Dried basil, to taste
- Chopped parsley, to taste
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 375–400°F.
- Lightly sauté chopped onion in oil, then remove from heat. Add tuna, sour cream, seasoning, basil, and parsley. Mix well to combine the filling.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry and cut into squares.
- Place a spoonful of filling on one half of each square, then fold into triangles.
- Press the edges to seal using a bit of egg white mixed with flour.
- Brush the tops with a mixture of egg yolk and milk. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Arrange on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.
