Puff pastry tuna triangles are a savory, flaky snack that’s perfect for parties or quick meals. Made with ready-made puff pastry and a flavorful tuna filling, they’re easy to prepare.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Sesame seeds for sprinkling

Filling:

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 can (5–6 oz) tuna (drained)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • Seasoning salt (or all-purpose seasoning), to taste
  • Dried basil, to taste
  • Chopped parsley, to taste

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 375–400°F.
  2. Lightly sauté chopped onion in oil, then remove from heat. Add tuna, sour cream, seasoning, basil, and parsley. Mix well to combine the filling.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry and cut into squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of filling on one half of each square, then fold into triangles.
  5. Press the edges to seal using a bit of egg white mixed with flour.
  6. Brush the tops with a mixture of egg yolk and milk. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Arrange on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.
