Combination of tender, sautéed potatoes with caramelized onions, creamy broth, and rich salmon fillets creates a well-balanced, savory dish.
Ingredients:
- About 2.2 lbs (1 kg) potatoes
- 2 medium onions
- Salt, pepper, marjoram, a little flour, oil
- 3/4 cup (200 ml) strained packaged broth or 1 broth cube
- 3/4 cup (200 ml) heavy cream
- 4-5 salmon fillets (or more, as needed)
Preparation:
- Slice the potatoes into thick rounds (like chips, but thicker) and chop the onions.
- Sauté the onions and potatoes in oil, then season with salt and pepper.
- Once browned, add the broth and cream, and let it simmer until the potatoes are tender (about 15-20 minutes).
- Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, dredge them in flour, and fry them in a little oil.
- Once the potatoes are cooked, add a pinch of marjoram, and serve with the salmon.
