Golden, crispy, and irresistibly tasty -onion rings are a classic food that’s perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side. Made from thick slices of onion dipped in a light, flavorful batter and deep-fried to perfection, they’re a crunchy treat that’s easy to recreate at home.
Ingredients:
3 large yellow onions
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup beer
2 egg yolks
2 cups vegetable oil
Salt
Preparation:
Peel the onions and slice them into slightly thicker rings. Carefully separate the onion layers.
In a mixing bowl, combine beer, flour, egg yolks, and a pinch of salt.
Heat the oil in a deep skillet or fryer. Dip the onion rings into the batter and fry in hot oil until they turn golden brown.
Remove them onto a paper towel to drain excess oil. Salt to taste and serve with your preferred dipping sauce.
