A refreshing, fall-inspired beverage that blends pumpkin with apple and a hint of warm spices. Naturally sweet, lightly tangy, and perfect for seasonal sipping.
Ingredients:
3 cups pumpkin, peeled and chopped
2 cups apple, peeled and chopped
3 cups cold water
1/4 cup pear nectar or fresh pear puree
1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Pinch of black pepper (for subtle warmth)
Optional garnish: apple slices or a cinnamon stick
Instructions:
Combine pumpkin, apple, and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat and cook until both pumpkin and apple are soft, about 15–20 minutes.
Let the mixture cool slightly, then blend until smooth.
Strain through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to extract a smooth juice.
Stir in pear nectar, maple syrup (if using), cardamom, cloves, and a pinch of black pepper. Adjust sweetness or spice to taste.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Serve in glasses garnished with a thin apple slice or a cinnamon stick. Keeps refrigerated for up to 4 days.
Tip: For a sparkling twist, mix equal parts juice and sparkling water just before serving.
