Easy homemade green pepper and mushroom pizza with a crispy crust, melty cheese, and fresh veggies—better than takeout in just 45 minutes.
Ingredients:
1 pound pizza dough (about 3 ¼ cups flour if making fresh)
2 garlic cloves, crushed
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 green bell pepper, diced
4 ounces brown mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Let pizza dough rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Mix crushed garlic, red pepper flakes, sugar, and crushed tomatoes with salt and pepper to make the sauce.
Preheat oven to 425°F. Grease a sheet pan with cooking spray.
Stretch dough to fit pan, brush edges with olive oil, and bake 3 minutes without toppings.
Spread ½ to ¾ cup of sauce, sprinkle mozzarella, and add peppers and mushrooms.
Bake 10 minutes on the top rack.
Sprinkle parmesan and broil 1–2 minutes until golden and bubbly.
