This is another idea to make your youngest family members happy. You can make caramels, wrap each one individually in cellophane with a bow or give it to someone as a gift… There are many ideas.

Caramel ingredients:

  • 250 milliliters of water,
  • 250 milliliters of sweet cream,
  • 600 grams of sugar,
  • 2 spoons of butter,
  • 4 teaspoons of vanilla sugar.

Dissolve the sugar until brown (make sure it doesn’t burn) and while stirring, gradually add hot water (cook on moderate heat). Mix the mass until the liquid evaporates. Add butter, vanilla sugar and liquid sweet cream.
Cook while stirring until the mixture becomes thick (about 45 minutes), then transfer the dish to a larger one, with cold water, and mix for another 5 minutes. Transfer the mixture to a tray lined with aluminum foil that you have coated with oil (this is to prevent the mixture from sticking to the foil).

Leave the mixture to harden completely, then cut it to the size of a caramel with a sharp knife. Have fun and enjoy.
