Ingredients
For the Cookies
- 3 cups ground walnuts
- 1⅔ cups powdered sugar
- 1 packet (or 2 teaspoons) vanilla sugar
- A pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
- A few whole cloves, finely ground
- About ⅓ cup simple syrup
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 7 tablespoons margarine, softened

- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground walnuts, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, nutmeg, finely ground cloves, lemon juice, and softened margarine.

- Roll the mixture into small balls, then gently shape each one into a small cone or dome.
- Place the cookies in the refrigerator until firm.
- Melt the chocolate together with the vegetable oil until smooth.
- Dip each chilled cookie halfway into the chocolate glaze.
- Allow the chocolate to set completely.
- Decorate each cookie with a thin spiral of melted chocolate using a piping bag or a small plastic bag with the tip snipped off.
- Place the finished cookies in paper candy cups before serving.
Tips
- Store the cookies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- These cookies taste even better after chilling overnight, allowing the flavors to fully develop.
