Take your burger game to the next level with this flavorful stuffed burger recipe. Juicy ground meat is mixed with fresh herbs and filled with creamy feta cheese for a deliciously savory surprise in every bite. Perfect for grilling season or any time you want something special on the table.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 small red chili pepper, finely chopped (optional)
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Prepare the Cheese Filling: In a small bowl, crumble the feta cheese and set it aside.
- Mix the Meat: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground turkey, red onion, garlic, chili pepper, olive oil, smoked paprika, oregano, coriander, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Shape the Patties: Divide the meat mixture into 6 equal portions. Flatten each portion into a thin patty. Place about 2 tablespoons of feta cheese in the center of three patties. Top with the remaining patties and press the edges to seal the cheese inside.
- Cook the Patties: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and brush it lightly with oil. Cook the patties for about 6–7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and the meat reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Serve: Let the patties rest for 2 minutes before serving. Serve on their own, with a side of fresh vegetables, or in a toasted bun.
