Ultimate stuffed burger paired with a creamy bell pepper pie hits all the right notes—juicy, cheesy, and packed with smoky goodness. Perfect for family dinners or weekend feasts, this duo brings a fresh twist to classic comfort food.

Ingredients:

Stuffed Burger:

  • 1 lb white meat (chicken or turkey), ground
  • ¼ cup finely chopped leek
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 tablespoons sour water (or substitute with 2 tablespoons buttermilk + 1 tablespoon water)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup grated cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • ½ cup chopped smoked bacon
  • ½ cup chopped canned mushrooms or sliced pickles

Bell Pepper Pie:

  • 2.2 lbs bell peppers (about 6 large)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Cheese slices for stuffing (mozzarella or similar)
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions:

Stuffed Burger:
Mix ground meat, leek, garlic, parsley, sour water, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Refrigerate for 1 hour. On a piece of foil, shape half the mixture into a thin patty. Layer with grated cheese, bacon, and mushrooms or pickles. Top with the second patty and seal edges tightly. Fry in butter until cooked through and golden brown.

Bell Pepper Pie:
Roast the bell peppers until skin chars, then peel and drain. Remove seeds and stuff each pepper with a slice of cheese. Roll stuffed peppers in grated Parmesan. Arrange them in a buttered baking dish. Beat eggs with salt and baking powder, add sour cream, and gently fold in breadcrumbs. Pour this mixture over the peppers. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) until golden and set, about 30-40 minutes.
