These roasted potatoes with sesame seeds are crispy, buttery, and full of flavor. Easy to prepare and loved by kids, they make a perfect side dish for meat or fish.

Ingredients:

  • 3.3 lbs potatoes (about 1.5 kg), peeled and halved
  • 7 tablespoons margarine (or butter)
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel potatoes and cut them in half.
  3. Grease a baking dish or sheet with 1 tablespoon of margarine.
  4. Arrange the potatoes in the dish with the cut (uneven) side down.
  5. Sprinkle salt and sesame seeds evenly over the potatoes.
  6. Dot the potatoes with the remaining margarine.
  7. Bake for about 1 hour until golden and tender, basting with melted margarine halfway through if desired.
  8. Serve warm as a side dish with meat or fish.
