These roasted potatoes with sesame seeds are crispy, buttery, and full of flavor. Easy to prepare and loved by kids, they make a perfect side dish for meat or fish.
Ingredients:
- 3.3 lbs potatoes (about 1.5 kg), peeled and halved
- 7 tablespoons margarine (or butter)
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Peel potatoes and cut them in half.
- Grease a baking dish or sheet with 1 tablespoon of margarine.
- Arrange the potatoes in the dish with the cut (uneven) side down.
- Sprinkle salt and sesame seeds evenly over the potatoes.
- Dot the potatoes with the remaining margarine.
- Bake for about 1 hour until golden and tender, basting with melted margarine halfway through if desired.
- Serve warm as a side dish with meat or fish.
