This savory stuffed egg recipe combines creamy cheese, smoky cured meats, and a touch of tangy mustard to create a flavorful appetizer that’s perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients:
- 10 eggs
- 1 cup young cheese (crumbled or grated)
- 1 piece smoked dry cheese (about 3 oz), diced
- 1 small piece cured sausage diced
- 1 small piece dried meat, diced
- ½ cup pickles, chopped
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 3 tbsp substitute sour cream or cream cheese
- Fresh parsley leaves and red bell pepper slices for garnish
Instructions:
- Boil the eggs until hard-cooked, then cool and peel. Cut the eggs in half lengthwise.
- Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl. Add chopped pickles, diced cured meats, young cheese, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Fill the egg whites with the yolk mixture, shaping the filling smoothly. Arrange the filled halves on a serving platter with the egg whites facing up.
- In a small bowl, mix mustard, sour cream or cream cheese, and a pinch of salt until smooth. Drizzle this mixture over the filled eggs to give a glossy finish.
- Optionally, sprinkle some extra egg yolk on top for decoration. Garnish with parsley leaves and red bell pepper slices to resemble flowers.
