Ingredients:

  • 1 medium head of sauerkraut
  • 10 black peppercorns
  • A few bay leaves
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • About 2/3 cup (150 ml) vegetable oil

Preparation:

  1. Slice the sauerkraut into thin strips and rinse it if it’s too salty. Place it in a deep pot, cover with water, add the black pepper and bay leaves, and let it cook for about 10 minutes on medium heat.
  2. Once the sauerkraut softens, drain the liquid and set it aside to cool.
  3. Finely chop the garlic, then add it to the sauerkraut along with the oil. Mix everything well.
  4. Refrigerate the salad until you’re ready to serve.
