Ingredients:
- 1 medium head of sauerkraut
- 10 black peppercorns
- A few bay leaves
- 2 cloves of garlic
- About 2/3 cup (150 ml) vegetable oil
Preparation:
- Slice the sauerkraut into thin strips and rinse it if it’s too salty. Place it in a deep pot, cover with water, add the black pepper and bay leaves, and let it cook for about 10 minutes on medium heat.
- Once the sauerkraut softens, drain the liquid and set it aside to cool.
- Finely chop the garlic, then add it to the sauerkraut along with the oil. Mix everything well.
- Refrigerate the salad until you’re ready to serve.
