There’s something timeless about the aroma of baked fruit filling the kitchen. These baked quinces are a warm, fragrant dessert that feels both rustic and elegant. The fruit softens into a delicate sweetness while the honey, walnuts, and cinnamon melt together into a golden, spiced filling. A perfect autumn treat, served on its own or with a spoonful of cream.
Ingredients:
6 quinces
1 ½ cups chopped walnuts
¾ cup raisins
6 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
6 teaspoons (about 2 tablespoons) butter
Instructions:
Rinse the quinces well and carefully core them. In a bowl, combine the walnuts, raisins, honey, and cinnamon. Fill each quince with the mixture and arrange them in a baking dish. Place a little butter on top of each fruit. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F until the quinces are golden and soft enough to cut easily with a spoon.
