Onion soup a la Jamie Oliver ingredients:

8 onions,

1 large leek,

6 cloves of garlic,

olive oil,

butter,

cheese (edamer, gouda),

bread,

2 liters of beef stock (or 4 beef cubes).

Way of preparation

Peel and crush the garlic and throw it on the melted butter and olive oil.

Add onions cut into rings and leeks.

Cook for 50 minutes on low heat with the lid on (the last 20 minutes without the lid).

Add the stock and continue to cook until it boils and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes.

Then add a slice of bread to the bowl in which you poured the soup (old bread is better because it absorbs more soup) and grate the cheese and put it in the microwave or oven to melt the cheese.

Voila!

It’s cheap, it’s nice and it can stay for a long time and you can even freeze it. It usually lasts 3-4 days for me.
