Juicy, flavorful, and beautifully seared—these mustard-marinated beef steaks are a gourmet delight that’s surprisingly easy to prepare. With Dijon mustard, spices, and the deep umami from soy and Worcestershire sauce, each bite is rich and satisfying. Perfect for a cozy dinner or to wow your guests, this recipe proves that a good marinade makes all the difference.

Ingredients:

  • 2 thick beef steaks (ribeye or tenderloin)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the oil, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and balsamic vinegar.
  2. Place the steaks in a dish or resealable bag and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the meat is evenly coated.
  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight to let the flavors soak in.
  4. The next day, remove the steaks from the marinade and let any excess drip off.
  5. Heat a skillet over high heat until very hot. Sear the steaks for 3–4 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot with roasted potatoes and a fresh salad.

Serving Tip:
These steaks pair beautifully with oven-roasted baby potatoes or grilled vegetables. Add a glass of red wine for a true restaurant-style experience at home.

Enjoy!
