I often enjoy pasta, so it’s time to share my recipe for Italian pasta sauce.
Italian Pasta Sauce Ingredients:
- 1 kg of peeled and ground tomatoes
- 1/2 dcl of apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 kg of mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons of cold-pressed oil
- 1 onion
- 1 tablespoon of oregano
- 1 head of garlic
- 1 tablespoon of rosemary
- 1 bunch of fresh mint
- 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
- 1 tablespoon of malt extract
- 2 tablespoons of sea salt
- 1 dcl of ketchup
Preparation:
Gently heat the oil and add finely chopped onion and garlic along with a little water. Sauté on low heat, cooking rather than frying. Once the onion softens, add the spices, followed by the tomatoes and ketchup. When it’s almost done, add the mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the malt extract and vinegar.
In cold water, add 2 tablespoons of cold-pressed oil and a pinch of salt, then cook the whole wheat spaghetti, being careful not to overcook it.
Once the spaghetti is ready, drain it and add it to the sauce.
Serve with Parmesan cheese.
