Ingredients for the Cookies Base:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 4 tablespoons plum jam
  • 2 cups + 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

Filling:

  • Plum jam

Glaze:

  • Melted chocolate mixed with 3-4 tablespoons oil

Preparation:

  1. Combine and mix the ingredients for the cake base in a deep bowl.
  2. Pour the batter into a 30-32 cm baking pan and bake for 30 minutes at 180°C (350°F).
  3. Once baked, spread a layer of plum jam over the cake.
  4. Top with melted chocolate glaze.


Honey Heart Cake

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups (yogurt-sized) flour
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 cups yogurt
  • 6 tablespoons oil
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • Plum jam for spreading

Glaze:

  • 150 g (5 oz) cooking chocolate
  • 100 g (3.5 oz) margarine
  • 4 tablespoons sugar

Preparation:

  1. Combine flour, sugar, oil, yogurt, baking soda, cinnamon, and the egg in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. Pour half of the batter into a greased baking tray and bake at 180-200°C (355-390°F).
  3. After about 10 minutes, remove the tray from the oven and spread a layer of jam or marmalade over the partially baked cake. Pour the remaining batter over the jam and return to the oven to finish baking.
  4. Prepare the glaze by melting chocolate and margarine with sugar. Pour the glaze over the baked cake.
  5. Let the cake cool, then cut into desired shapes.
