Honey cookies are a delightful treat that combines the natural sweetness of honey with a soft, rich texture. Perfect for any occasion, these cookies are easy to make and have a wonderful, aromatic flavor with a hint of spices like cinnamon and cloves.
Ingredients:
- 50 g sugar
- 200 g flour
- 50 g walnuts
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 packet of cinnamon
- A pinch of cloves
- A pinch of baking soda
- 1 lemon
For the syrup:
- 250 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 cup of water
Preparation:
- In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, baking soda, cloves, lemon juice and zest, ground walnuts, and honey. Mix well, then gradually add flour and knead the dough. Let the dough rest for about 30 minutes.
- After resting, roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thin sheet. Using a cutter or glass, cut out small round shapes. Arrange them on a greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) until golden.
For the syrup:
- While the cookies are baking, prepare the syrup by boiling 250 g sugar with 1 cup of water. Towards the end of boiling, add the vanilla sugar.
- Once the cookies are baked and still warm, brush them with the syrup and return them to the oven for a few minutes to let them soak up the syrup.
Fruit Loaf
Ingredients:
- 150 g butter
- 140 g sugar
- 2 eggs
- A pinch of cinnamon and ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1 tablespoon rum
- 225 g flour
- 120 g figs
- 120 g dried grapes
Preparation:
- Beat the butter with sugar and eggs until well combined.
- Add cinnamon, ground cloves, baking soda, milk, rum, and flour. Mix the dough well.
- Add chopped figs and dried grapes to the dough and knead them in.
- Transfer the dough into a narrow baking tray (or mold) and bake at 180°C (350°F) until golden brown.
Потребно је: 150 гр маслаца, 140 гр шећера, 2 јајета, мало цимета и каранфилића у праху, пола кашичице соде бикарбоне, пола шољице млаког млека, кашика рума, 225 гр брашна, 120 гр смокава и сувог грожђа. Маслац добро умутити са шећером, јајима, додати цимет, каранфилић, соду бикарбону, млеко, рум и брашно. Тесто добро замесити па додати уздуж сецкане смокве и суво грожђе. Изручити у уски плех (калуп) и пећи на 180 степени.
