French Chocolate Cake ingredients for the crust:
250 grams of dark chocolate,
250 grams of margarine,
7 eggs,
250 grams of sugar,
125 grams of flour,
1 baking powder.
Glaze:
100 grams of margarine,
150 grams of dark chocolate,
50 grams of honey (that’s 3 tablespoons)
Preparation:
Crust: Turn on the oven at 180 degrees Celsius. Coat the cake mold with a little margarine.
Break the chocolate into pieces. Melt the margarine, chocolate and sugar – stir until it melts.
Beat the egg whites with a mixer, especially the egg yolk, then add the melted chocolate, flour, baking powder and finally the egg white snow.
Pour the mixture into the form (a round mold with an opening) and level the surface.
Bake in the lower part of the oven for about 25-30 minutes until it hardens and cracks on the surface (the crust does not need to be fully baked).
Cool in the mold.
Glaze: melt the margarine, pour it over the broken chocolate and stir until it melts. Then add honey.
Remove the cake from the form and place it on a large tray.
Pour the glaze over the frozen cake and spread, and leave to harden.
Serving
Decorate with white chocolate or… You can also freeze this cake, and take it out another time and cover it with glaze.
Note: I personally add a little rum to the crust, i.e. soak the raisins, and if you wish, you can add something to it (almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts), … whatever you like, go ahead.
