1 1/2 cups cocoa,
2 cups water,
2 1/2 cups sugar,
2 tsp vanilla.
Mix cocoa and sugar in a saucepan; add water. Cook and stir over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat and boil gently for 5 minutes; stir occasionally. Cool. Add vanilla. Cover and store in refrigerator.
