Preparing the Filling:

Start by sautéing some leeks until they’re soft. Then, add ground meat and rice, along with your preferred seasonings and cooked tomatoes. Note that you don’t need to brown the meat.
Rolling the Stuffed Peppers:

Using fermented cabbage leaves, roll the filling into small rolls. You can also fill some dried peppers with the same mixture for added flavor.
Cooking the Stuffed Peppers:

Arrange the rolled sarma in a pot and add some dried meat for extra richness. Pour in a bit of water and some cooked tomatoes to help with the cooking process. Cover the pot with a lid and let it simmer on low heat for hours—sometimes even all day.
Enjoy this comforting dish that brings family together around the table!
