Ingredients

  • 14 ounces chicken livers, cleaned and trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon all-purpose seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken livers dry with paper towels and cut any large pieces in half.
  2. Season them with the all-purpose seasoning, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Lightly coat each piece with the flour, shaking off any excess.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  5. Place the coated chicken livers in a single layer and cook for about 4–5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. If needed, partially cover the skillet with a splatter screen while cooking.
  7. Serve immediately with mashed potatoes, sautéed onions, steamed vegetables, or fresh bread.
