This Creamy Garlic Chicken combines the savory warmth of garlic with the subtle smokiness of paprika, a hint of lemon, and fresh parsley for a bright finish. Simple to prepare yet full of flavor, it’s perfect with mashed potatoes, fluffy rice, or a crisp salad
Ingredients:
4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (or 2 thighs + 2 drumsticks)
1 tablespoon butter or lard
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ cup sour cream
2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon fresh chopped parsley
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the chicken with salt, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and sear the chicken until golden brown on all sides. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
In a bowl, mix together the sour cream, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, parsley, and black pepper until smooth. Spread the garlic cream mixture evenly over the chicken.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce is bubbling. Remove from the oven and let rest a few minutes before serving.
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or a fresh salad.
