Caramelized Chicken in Wine Sauce brings together the warmth of butter, the depth of soy and white wine, and a touch of sweetness that turns a simple dinner into a restaurant-worthy dish. It’s the kind of meal that feels indulgent yet approachable — golden, aromatic, and best served while still hot from the pan.
Ingredients (serves 4)
1¾ lb chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
2 medium onions, chopped
4 Tbsp white wine
2 Tbsp soy sauce (or aromatic seasoning sauce)
½ cup white wine
1 Tbsp flour
1½ Tbsp sugar
1½ Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Preparation
Cut the chicken into even pieces (about 1–1½ inches) and coat them lightly with flour. Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet and sauté the chicken until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle with sugar, and add the chopped onions. Pour in the soy sauce and white wine. Cook over high heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken like a light caramel glaze. Serve immediately while hot, paired with rice or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
