This dish is flavorful, and a bit unusual—a great twist on a classic chicken recipe! It’s an easy yet impressive recipe that works perfectly for family dinners or casual get-togethers.

Ingredients:

  • 3.3 lbs (1.5 kg) whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • 10 oz (300 g) small onions
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 cups (1/2 liter) beer
  • 2 tablespoons oil or fat
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan and sauté the minced garlic. Then, add the chicken pieces that have been lightly coated in flour and brown them on all sides.
  2. Once the chicken is browned, add the peeled small onions. Pour in a little water and cook until softened.
  3. Add the beer and bay leaves, then cover and simmer over low heat. Occasionally turn the chicken and onions.
  4. If necessary, add more beer for extra sauce and continue simmering.
  5. Serve hot, and it pairs wonderfully with boiled rice.
