This dish is flavorful, and a bit unusual—a great twist on a classic chicken recipe! It’s an easy yet impressive recipe that works perfectly for family dinners or casual get-togethers.
Ingredients:
- 3.3 lbs (1.5 kg) whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 10 oz (300 g) small onions
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cups (1/2 liter) beer
- 2 tablespoons oil or fat
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Heat the oil in a large pan and sauté the minced garlic. Then, add the chicken pieces that have been lightly coated in flour and brown them on all sides.
- Once the chicken is browned, add the peeled small onions. Pour in a little water and cook until softened.
- Add the beer and bay leaves, then cover and simmer over low heat. Occasionally turn the chicken and onions.
- If necessary, add more beer for extra sauce and continue simmering.
- Serve hot, and it pairs wonderfully with boiled rice.
