Chicken Sticks in Sesame and Almond Flakes are a crunchy and flavorful dish that’s simple to prepare at home. The nutty almond flakes and toasted sesame seeds enhance the texture of tender chicken strips, making them perfect for serving with sauces or as a main appetizer.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound chicken tenderloins
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup black sesame seeds
  • 1/3 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Cut the chicken tenderloins into thin strips.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the cornmeal, flour, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each chicken strip into the beaten egg, then coat evenly with the flour and spice mixture.
  4. Divide the strips: coat half with sesame seeds and half with chopped almonds, pressing gently to stick.
  5. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the chicken sticks 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and fully cooked.
  6. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces, such as honey mustard or yogurt-herb sauce.
