Chicken Schnitzel in Mushroom Sauce turns a simple dinner into something special. Tender chicken breasts are coated with mushroom soup mix and baked in a creamy sauce. It’s an easy, comforting meal that feels a little fancy—perfect for family dinners or small get-togethers.

Ingredients:

  • About 1.75 pounds chicken breast fillets
  • 2 packets dry mushroom soup mix (about 1.5 ounces total)
  • 2 cups heavy cream

Instructions:

  1. Lightly pound each chicken fillet to tenderize.
  2. Coat both sides of each fillet thoroughly with the dry mushroom soup mix (do not add water).
  3. Place the coated fillets in a heatproof baking dish.
  4. Pour the heavy cream over the fillets. If there is any leftover soup mix, sprinkle it over the cream—but taste first to avoid too much salt.
  5. Preheat oven to 350–400°F. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and golden.
