Chicken in Chili Yogurt is a quick and delicious dish, perfect for two people. It combines tender chicken pieces with a creamy yogurt sauce, flavored with chili, garlic, and fresh herbs. This recipe is light and easy to make, with only a few ingredients.

Ingredients for 2 servings

  • 300 g (10.5 oz) chicken breast fillet
  • 150 ml (5 fl oz) yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 clove garlic
  • A small amount of parsley and basil
  • A pinch of salt

Optional addition

  • 200 g (7 oz) fresh or feta cheese (I prefer low-fat cheese)

Preparation

Depending on the pan you’ll use for frying the chicken, you might need to lightly grease the surface with a small amount of oil. If you use oil, drain off any excess.

  1. Finely chop the garlic, parsley, and basil.
  2. Cut the chicken fillet into cubes and fry them in a pan without oil for about 5 minutes. Shake the pan occasionally to ensure the chicken cooks evenly on all sides.
  3. Mix the yogurt with a pinch of salt, chili powder, and the chopped garlic. Pour the mixture over the cooked chicken, stir, and simmer until all the liquid evaporates.
  4. Just before finishing, sprinkle the dish with chopped parsley and basil.
