Beer Goulash is a comforting and flavorful dish that combines tender pork, rich tomato sauce, and the unique depth of beer. This recipe is perfect for those who enjoy hearty, slow-cooked meals with bold flavors.
Ingredients for Beer Goulash:
- 500 g of lean pork meat
- 2 dL of beer (I used half a liter)
- 2 onions
- 1.5 dL of tomato sauce or passata, or homemade bottled tomato sauce (in my opinion, the tomato flavor was too strong, so next time I’ll use only 1 dL)
- 1 tablespoon of flour
- Sweet paprika and a little spicy paprika (I only used spicy)
- seasoning
- Bay leaf
Preparation:
- Cut the meat into small cubes and lightly fry it in oil or lard.
- Chop the onions into small cubes and add them to the meat.
- Sauté for 15 minutes.
- Once the meat and onions are sautéed, add a tablespoon of paprika and a tablespoon of flour.
- Pour in the tomato sauce and beer.
- Season with a bay leaf, Vegeta, pepper, and a little salt.
- Simmer on low heat for at least 1 hour.
Serving suggestion:
Serve with lace-patterned pasta and green salad.
