This taco seasoning mix brings bold, flavorful spice to your ground beef. Easy to make at home, it’s perfect for tacos, burritos, or any Mexican-inspired dish.
Ingredients for 1 lb (450 g) ground beef:
1 tsp chicken or vegetable bouillon powder
1–2 tsp smoked chili powder
⅛–¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 tsp sweet paprika
1 ½ tsp dried chopped onion
⅛ tsp garlic granules
¼ tsp smoked garlic powder
½–1 tsp sea salt
2 Tbsp cornstarch
⅓ tsp brown sugar
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients in a small bowl to create your taco seasoning.
Brown 1 lb of ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
Add the seasoning mix along with ¾ cup of water. Stir and bring to a gentle boil.
Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
Warm taco shells or tortillas according to package instructions.
Serve the seasoned beef in bowls with toppings like lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and let everyone fill their own tacos.
