Indulge in the elegance of pear with this light and airy mousse. Sweet, succulent pears blend seamlessly with a hint of brandy and a touch of lemon, creating a dessert that’s both refreshing and sophisticated. Perfect for entertaining or a quiet evening treat, this mousse combines creamy texture and natural fruit sweetness for a dessert experience that feels luxurious yet effortless.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (16 oz each) pears in heavy syrup, well drained
  • 2 tbsp pear or orange liqueur
  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tsp unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream, whipped until soft peaks form

Instructions:

  1. Roughly chop the drained pears and blend them into a smooth puree. Stir in the liqueur and lemon juice, then set aside.
  2. Sprinkle the gelatin over the milk in a small saucepan and let it sit for a minute to bloom. Heat gently on low, stirring constantly, until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  3. Mix in the powdered sugar and the pear puree, stirring until the mixture is silky and uniform. Pour into a medium bowl and refrigerate, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly and can hold a soft peak when spooned.
  4. Carefully fold in the whipped cream to add lightness and airiness to the mousse.
  5. Divide into individual serving cups or a single dish. Chill until set and serve cold.

Serving Suggestion: Garnish with thin pear slices, crushed nuts, or a fresh mint sprig for a polished look.
