This homemade blueberry juice is a refreshing and nutritious drink that’s easy to prepare. Blueberries are rich in fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants, making this juice both tasty and beneficial for overall wellness.
Ingredients:
2.2 pounds fresh blueberries, cleaned
2.2 pounds sugar
2 teaspoons citric acid
12 ¾ cups water
Directions:
- Rinse blueberries thoroughly and remove any leaves or stems.
- Place the berries in a large non-reactive bowl. Sprinkle with sugar and citric acid, and let the mixture rest for 24 hours.
- Blend the blueberries until smooth.
- Pour the blended mixture into a large pot and add the water. Heat gently for 10 minutes.
- Strain the juice if desired, or pour directly into clean bottles.
- Allow to cool for 24 hours before serving. Serve chilled.
