Sangria is typically made with red wine, chopped fruit, a splash of liquor, and some sugar—just add friends and enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 orange
- 1 large lemon
- 1 ½ cups mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 (750 ml) bottle of red wine
- ⅓ cup brandy
- 1 cup orange juice
- A splash of club soda (to taste)
Instructions:
- Place 1 cup of berries into a large pitcher.
- Add the sliced orange and sugar, then gently mash everything together to release the juices.
- Pour in the red wine, brandy, and orange juice. Stir well.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
- Just before serving, add the remaining ½ cup of berries and a splash of club soda.
- Serve over ice if desired.
