A vibrant and creamy sauce perfect for drizzling over hot pasta, roasted vegetables, or grilled chicken. Made with a mix of fresh herbs, Parmesan, and a hint of spice, it’s fresh, flavorful, and can be prepared a day ahead for convenience.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon each finely chopped fresh basil, parsley, mint, chives, tarragon, oregano, and lemon thyme

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the sour cream, nutmeg, and cayenne pepper. Stir gently and simmer for 3–5 minutes until warmed through.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese and all the chopped fresh herbs until fully combined.
  3. Reheat gently if needed before serving. Spoon generously over pasta, steamed vegetables, or grilled proteins. Can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
