A vibrant and creamy sauce perfect for drizzling over hot pasta, roasted vegetables, or grilled chicken. Made with a mix of fresh herbs, Parmesan, and a hint of spice, it’s fresh, flavorful, and can be prepared a day ahead for convenience.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon each finely chopped fresh basil, parsley, mint, chives, tarragon, oregano, and lemon thyme
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the sour cream, nutmeg, and cayenne pepper. Stir gently and simmer for 3–5 minutes until warmed through.
- Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese and all the chopped fresh herbs until fully combined.
- Reheat gently if needed before serving. Spoon generously over pasta, steamed vegetables, or grilled proteins. Can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
