Apple strudel is a delicious dessert made with simple ingredients, perfect for anytime. This treat features apples cut into small cubes, and a splash of lemon juice gives it a delightful flavor.

Apple Strudel For All Occasions Ingredients:

For the dough:

350 g of flour
1 whole egg + 1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons of oil
125 ml of warm water
A pinch of salt
For the filling:

2 kg of apples
1 lemon
50 g of butter (for breadcrumbs)
130 g of breadcrumbs
130 g of sugar
150 g of butter (for brushing)
180 g of raisins
180 g of chopped walnuts
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
In a large bowl, combine the flour, whole egg, egg yolk, oil, warm water, and a pinch of salt. Mix with a fork, then knead the dough with your hands for a few minutes until smooth.
Once kneaded, divide the dough into two equal pieces. Coat each piece lightly in oil and cover them with a cloth. Let them rest for about 1.5 hours.
Meanwhile, in a skillet, melt the butter and gently fry the breadcrumbs until golden brown. Set aside to cool.
Wash the apples, remove the seeds, and chop them into small cubes with the skin on. Squeeze the lemon juice over the apples and add the grated lemon peel.
Mix in the raisins, walnuts, sugar, and cinnamon to the chopped apples for the filling.
Roll out one piece of dough on a floured surface until it is very thin. Use your hands to stretch the edges even thinner if needed.
Brush the rolled-out dough with melted butter and sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the surface.
Spread the apple filling along one edge of the dough. Carefully roll the dough into a tight, long strudel.
Place the strudel on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush the top with melted butter and the remaining egg yolk for a lovely glaze.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Once baked, dust with powdered sugar, slice, and enjoy your delicious apple strudel!
