Known to us as mint, this plant is a great remedy for an upset stomach and a runny nose.

Mint tea and essential oils derived from this plant have been widely used in traditional medicines around the world. This tea contains natural components that can benefit our bodies in various ways.

Mint can help relieve bloating and poor digestion by relaxing the digestive system and reducing pain, both in intensity and duration. As it relaxes muscles and relieves pain, it can also help alleviate certain types of headaches. Mint oil increases circulation and provides a cooling sensation, helping to ease pain. When applied to the forehead, it works similarly to 1,000 mg of acetaminophen.

Most toothpaste, chewing gum, or mouthwash contains mint flavor. In addition to its refreshing aroma, mint helps eliminate the bacteria that cause bad breath.

Warm drinks containing menthol, such as mint tea, can aid in relieving breathing difficulties.

Mint contains rosmarinic acid, which is effective in reducing allergic reactions such as a runny nose, itchy eyes, and asthma.

Mint is rich in antioxidants, free from sugar, cholesterol, and fats. Drinking this tea provides 1% of your daily intake of iron and potassium. It can be consumed at any time of day or night, as it is caffeine-free.
