Creamy chicken (or turkey) dish wrapped in crispy bacon and served with fresh pasta is a true comfort meal. Oven-roasted meat, buttery noodles, and a tangy sour cream sauce made from pan drippings make it an easy, flavorful dish that feels fancy enough for guests—but simple enough for weeknights.
Ingredients:
- 4 strips of bacon
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or turkey thighs
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 8 oz fresh pasta (tagliatelle, fettuccine, or similar)
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare the meat: Remove any skin if present. Season chicken or turkey with salt and pepper. Wrap each piece in bacon.
Bake the meat: Place in a baking dish with a tablespoon of oil. Bake for about 20 minutes, basting with pan juices until bacon is crispy and meat is fully cooked.
Rest the meat: Remove from oven, cover with foil, and set aside to rest.
Cook the pasta: Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain, then toss with butter in a warmed bowl.
Make the sauce: Pour remaining juices from the baking dish into a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the sour cream and simmer for 2–3 minutes until smooth and warm.
Serve: Slice the bacon-wrapped meat. Plate with buttered pasta and spoon sour cream sauce generously over the top.
