Soft chicken rolls filled with cheese and bacon. Crispy outside and creamy inside. A quick and yummy meal for any day.
For 4 persons you need:
- 3 chicken breasts
- 5 oz (150 g) hard cheese
- 3.5 oz (100 g) bacon
- Mustard
- Salt
Instructions:
- Cut the chicken breasts into thin slices (like schnitzels). Pound them gently with a meat mallet. Salt them and let rest a little.
- Take one slice, spread a little mustard in the middle. Put thin strips of bacon and cheese on top.
- Roll the chicken slice tightly and use a needle and thread to tie it so it stays closed.
- Dip each roll in beaten egg, then in flour, again in egg, and finally in breadcrumbs.
- Place all rolls on a plate. Heat oil in a pan and fry all the rolls together. Turn them a few times to cook evenly on all sides for about 7-10 minutes.
- While frying, prepare the sauce: mix 1 cup sour cream, 1 small (about 3.5 oz / 100 g) thick mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon mustard, 3 chopped pickles, a little oregano, and a pinch of paprika. Mix well.
- After frying, carefully cut and remove the thread from the rolls, then pour the sauce over them.
